I’ve always given a lot of thought and attention to posture in general and each person’s individual posture. In Japanese the word for posture is shisei(姿勢)which is not just related to physical posture but also relates to mental attitude. It’s the same word. When I treat people I want to consider their whole person and I am not just focusing on the mechanical function of the body.
When I work with someone I want to help them reset into wholeness. My exercises are never focused on only one part of the body as is true of western exercise regimes where body parts are quite disconnected each form the other. In eastern philosophy there is a more holistic focus with the whole movement, the whole body, the whole cycle. And breathing is always key. The movements between postures that I teach are always focussed on the body’s inherent alignment.
Classes are 25 minutes in length. I teach postural alignment, breathing, deep stretching, and grounding techniques. In different classes I will teach how to stand, walk, sit, stretch.
Once you sign up I will send you a weekly link on a Monday morning for a video that you can use as often as you’d like during that month.
